One Week and 210km Since My Departure

by bart on June 24, 2013

It has been a week since I left Hope BC on my 1100 km walk to raise money for neglected and disadvantaged kids in Canada. I don’t benefit from the donations directly, but each one motivates me to keep on going (so please tell your friends!).

With all the rain along the way (and more in the forecast), the huge blisters from slogging in wet shoes for days, occasional dehydration from wind and sun, and sleeping in a damp tent and sleeping bag, I can’t help but feel a bit disadvantaged myself from time to time.

But I have to admit that it has been an incredible journey so far, and there are still 6 or so weeks ahead of me.

Today I walked through Keremeos and Cawston BC. Beautiful area. I made camp this evening by a hill just off the Crowsnest Hwy, about 5 or 6 km outside of Cawston. The view from my tent is again amazing.

Can you see my tent and cart in the photo?
