Story About my 1100 km Walk in the Vancouver Courier

It’s been three weeks since I returned from my 1100 km walk from Calgary. This week on Monday I was interviewed by Jennifer Thuncher of the Vancouver Courier newspaper, and last week Jason Lang took some photos of me at Sunset Beach in Vancouver:

The article mentions that I turned 40 last year. Actually, it was this year during spring.

And yes, my fundraising efforts were not what I expected. I’m now not surprised as the floods in southern Alberta seem to dominate all fundraising efforts. But I’m not done yet.

Floods are a relatively short term problem. Neglected and disadvantaged kids are not. This is a problem in our society that will continue unless all individuals, and all communities come together and do something about it.
